Making Good Marriages Happen
(Philippians 2:2 - then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.)
(Ephesians 4:13 - until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.)

Six Secrets To Making A Good Marriage Happen

1. Communication
(Proverbs 13:17 - A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a trustworthy envoy brings healing.)

2. It takes consideration
(Ephesians 4:2 - Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.)
(James 3:17 - But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.)

3. Compromise
(1 Corinthians 13:5 - It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.)

Three Facts of Marriage
* There will be conflict
* There are some issues that you will never agree on
* Compromise is the evidence of real love in marriage

4. Courtship
(Proverbs 5:19 - A loving doe, a graceful deer— may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love.)
(Ecclesiastes 9:9 - Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun.)

5. Committment
(Malachi 2:16 - "I hate divorce," says the LORD God of Israel, "and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment," says the LORD Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith.)

6. Christ
(Philippians 2:5 - Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus)

1. Invite Jesus to come into your life
2. Let Christ fill your thoughts in your life
3. Commit your marriage to ChristChrist
